Terms of Service

Massage Marketplace (MMP) is a curated discovery platform and directory for continuing education (CE) courses, classroom locations, and professional products.

  • The Facilitator: MMP provides a listing service ("Posting") for Educators to display courses to a global audience.
  • The Transaction: MMP is not a party to any agreement between Educators and Students. MMP does not process registrations, host educational content, or handle course payments; all transactions occur on third-party sites controlled by the Educators.

Provider Requirements & Vetting

To maintain MMP's "Curated Authority" standard, all Providers must:

  1. Maintain an active massage therapy license in their home jurisdiction (Licensure).
  2. Be approved by the NCBTMB, FSMTB, or their respective State/National Board (Approval).
  3. Ensure their courses meet the CE requirements of the student's specific country or local massage board (Compliance).

Payments, Cancellations, and Refunds

  • Listing Fees (Educators): Fees paid to MMP for the right to post courses are final and non-refundable. Educators are responsible for any applicable VAT, GST, or local sales taxes. All listing fees are in U.S. Dollars (USD), and the final transaction amount for international users may vary due to currency exchange rates and bank fees.
  • Course Fees (Students): MMP does not issue refunds for courses. Each Provider must display their specific cancellation policy on their registration page, and all disputes regarding course content or refunds must be resolved directly between the Student and the Educator.

Review Economy & Conduct

Users may leave professional, factual reviews based on first-hand experience. MMP reserves the right to remove content that is inaccurate or abusive.

  • Content Standards and Prohibitions: All user-generated content, including reviews, must adhere to global community standards. Prohibited content includes, but is not limited to:
    • Hate speech, harassment, or content promoting violence or illegal activities.
    • Deceptive, misleading, or fraudulent health information.
    • Unauthorized promotional links or commercial content.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Minnesota. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms must be exclusively brought in the federal or state courts located in Moorhead, Minnesota.

Professional Disclaimer

  • Licensing & Scope of Practice: MMP does not grant professional licenses, and completion of a course found via MMP does not automatically authorize a user to practice. It is the user's sole responsibility to ensure they are practicing within the legal scope defined by their local jurisdiction.
  • Limitation of Liability: MMP is a facilitator of information. MMP is not liable for the quality of instruction, venue safety, or the performance of products found via the marketplace. All "International Interactions" and third-party engagements are at the user's own risk.
